I'm a huge fan of Negronis. They're one of the all-time classics, and they're also super easy to make. This past weekend I was on batch cocktail duty, which is always a challenge I'm willing to take head on.
After browsing through a dozen or so articles, I stumbled upon this White Negroni Punch, which, should not actually be consumed like a punch due to the fact that it's basically a martini in large format. I followed the instructions to the drop, but after tasting it I thought it might be too bitter for a large crowd, so I added a bit of simple syrup and some Eucalyptus tincture to spice things up. It turned out to be a huge success, so I obviously had to try out the real deal at home. I wanted to avoid simple syrup, so I just lowered the ratio of Suze and it came out great!
2 oz gin
1 oz Dolin Blanc vermouth
3/4 oz Suze
Stir all ingredients with ice. Strain into chilled cocktail glass. Optional, garnish with lemon twist.
